Born in Sible Hedingham, Mr Hipperson opened a garage in 1971. Mr Hipperson stated: “In those days, automobiles like this were simply old racing vehicles. “My sibling and I utilized to drive them around the farm and knock the hell from them. The value was just starting to increase so we made earnings on everything. “They were pricey to keep and we wished to chop and alter them. In hindsight I should have kept a few of them.” The book, Let Them Stare, features information of trips taken through the Essex countryside along with a number of racy tales– in more than one sense of the word. All profits go to the Little Sanctuaries Hospice which takes care of children with life-limiting conditions. The book can be purchased at letthemstare.co.uk.
